A raw guitar riffs opens "Everlasting" before a brutal voice starts spitting the lyrics making this track a total crushing experience. Slaine is a band whose music can be labeled as death metal but that goes beyond this style using a lot of technical skills and influences from other styles to create the original patterns and riffs used here. The guitars play loud riff changing constantly rhythm and jumping from one riff to the other with total versatility. And they also deliver some fast solos played with good technical skills and note placement. I really like the arrangements created by the bass reminding me to some of Steve Di Giorgio´s best moments. the drumming is furiou and intense and the growling voice interact heavily with teh drumming adding the lyrics but cotributing with the rhthmic side of the band. There is virtuosism her and technical skills here and they are all backing up the brutality of the music. Lovers of techncial death metal should like Slaine´s bestial sound with killer musicianship.
